The Trout Creek Pocket Park

MAP turned the park into a Sustainable Site featuring native, drought tolerant landscaping, permeable pavers, storm water drainage, a solar light fixture and an art bike rack. There is also an interpretive kiosk that educates visitors about flora and fauna, the watershed and the park’s sustainable design features. An authentic Washoe grinding stone was relocated to the park to highlight Truckee’s Native American history. The park is a free, urban green space that is an ADA-accessible and welcoming to all residents and visitors.
