Palisades at Tahoe Placer County Meeting

  • Olympic Valley Public Service District 305 Olympic Valley Road Olympic Valley, CA, 96146 United States (map)

The Palisades at Tahoe project, formerly known as the Village at Squaw Valley is BACK! The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 7th at 6:00pm, Olympic Valley Public Service District, in the Conference Room. The Project proposes to amend the Squaw Valley General Plan and Land Use Ordinance (SVGPLUO) to comprehensively plan the development of a recreation-based, all-season mountain resort community located on 93.33 acres of land in the Olympic Valley. Project entitlements include requests for approval of a General Plan Amendment, Rezone, Specific Plan, Development Agreement, and Large Lot Tentative Map. The Board of Supervisors approved the project on November 15, 2016, and was subsequently litigated. The appellate court determined the EIR analysis had technical deficiencies with five specific analyses within the EIR. The applicant has engaged Placer County to address the five technical deficiencies in order to bring the project back to the Board of Supervisors for reconsideration of project approval. The county staff anticipates presenting the entitlement requests and Revised EIR to the Planning Commission and Board in late Spring 2023. Presenters: Patrick Dobbs, Planning Services Division, and Jason Hansford on Behalf of Alterra Mountain Company, Applicant. Members of the public can also access the meeting via Zoom. https://placer-ca-gov.zoom.us/j/98953776654
